Dona Ana County Creative Industries Presents:

Creativity Festival 2024

In early 2024, Brea was selected along side 20 or more artists by a new organization named “Creative Industries” where a new $100,000 state grant was distributed to many different cities with creative hubs in the state of New Mexico. This grant was used to expand New Mexico’s Economic Development by employing artists in more professional environments as well as have artists host workshops on educating the importance of having artists involved in local communities.

At this event, Artists chosen to represent Dona Ana County’s District showcased their work at the first ever Creativity Festival held at the Dona Ana County Federal Building as well as host many art related events.

Eventually, Brea became apart of the Founders main team along with QLM Media where she designed all of the workshop flyers, traveled and toured local community centers to ensure they had their needs met from the city, attended local community festivals, and even helped host a workshop along with two other pioneering women of the Las Cruces Art’s Community. One of which is the creative director of Cruces Creatives MakersSpace, Leah Wise-Surguy.
